Georges Ward presents his pictorial work in a exhibition A tribute to Martin Johnson Heade, at the Palacio de Montemuzo de Zaragoza (Spain) from October 5th to November 20th 2016. Tuesday- Saturday from 10:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 21:00 hours. Sunday and holidays from 10:00 to 14:30 hours.
This project, diverse but unitary, consisting of more than one hundred works, invites us to a time travel, to peek through circular windows, through paintings and drawings that make us reflect about change: a process that goes from the gardens by Martin Johnson Heade, a nineteenth century American painter, to synthetic vertical universes built by men, where the walls, deserts of plaster and cement, replace lush jungles, a process represented as a way of conclusion by the Wall series.
The shortages and extinction of basic, irreplaceable natural resources, as are light and water, is imminent. This audiovisual work immerses us into the dizzying tunnel of change, giving way to life again, and again starting the adventure for survival.
